Keep your pool safe this summer by inspecting your pool barrier and gates to confirm they are in good condition and self-closing. Remove any objects near the pool barrier that kids could climb on, and always have an adult actively supervise children when they are in or around the pool. Remember, a compliant pool is a safe pool! The City is required by law to regularly check and maintain your pool and spa safety barriers. For more information or to book your inspection, visit us online at stirling.wa.gov.au/pool-safety

Did you know that all private swimming and spa pools containing water more than 30 mm deep must have a compliant barrier installed? The City of Stirling takes pool safety seriously, and so should you. We are required by law to regularly check and maintain your pool and spa safety barriers – on the spot penalties apply to owners or occupiers who fail to enclose a swimming pool or spa correctly. If you’ve been advised by the City that an inspection is required or would like to arrange one, ask to speak to a Customer Service Officer when you come off hold.
